The state of Minnesota requires a “blue card” to prove enrollment in a qualified driving school like D & E Driving School of Lexington, MN. If you have any questions about blue cards after reviewing the information below, don’t hesitate to call us!
Blue Card Information
The blue enrollment card you received shows the state that you have enrolled in a Behind-the-Wheel class. When you are ready to take the permit test, you must to go a state exam station and bring proper identification. Your primary I.D. is the blue card and a certified copy of your birth certificate. Your secondary I.D. is a social security card or high school picture I.D.
You must start your training within thirty (30) days after you pass the permit test. Each lesson is for two (2) hours. If you do not have a valid permit with you, the instructor cannot train you, but you will be charged for that lesson. In the event of an appointment postponement, you may be charged for that lesson if you do not notify us at least twenty-four (24) hours in advance.
The behind-the-wheel rate that you were quoted when you received the blue enrollment card is guaranteed for a period of thirty (30) days. After that period, you will be subjected to any rate increases that may occur.
If you enroll in a behind-the-wheel course, get your permit, and then fail to complete your training, we are required to notify the Minnesota Department of Public Safety. The Minnesota Department of Public Safety may cancel your permit if you do not complete your training.
